Altan Irynsi

For someone so keen to keep to the cold shadows of Ishgard, he often finds an excuse to be elsewhere...

Whispers & Tales

Where have you heard a whisper in the dark?

The Azim Steppe

It has been some time, but perhaps the shadows still have a tale or two to tell...

Present Day...

The Dead Rise

Supposedly a previous Dotharl contender for Khagan, presumed dead for some thirty years, has been seen around the Steppe once again-- of course these are obsurd. The dead do not walk among the Dotharl... though the soul has yet to be reborn a single time in all these years...

Ancient History...

Fallen Warriors > 1551

Two of the Dotharl's most promising fighters died in this year's Nadaam. Ganbaatar, along with Ganzaya, are known to compete in the Nadaam, but neither returned to their tribe, or have been seen in the weeks following.

Ala Mhigo

Decades have passed since Ala Mhigo fell to Garlemald, though the occasional odd tale remains of that time...

Ancient History...

Distant Allies > 1552

A strange Xaelan man, not speaking an onze of Common, snuck his way into the Resistance camps. He knew his way around weapons and seemed eager to help in some way, so his stealth skills were put to use as a scout. Who knows what happened to him after Garlemald invaded, certainly none of those that came to appreciate his presence.

Ul'dah

Those who think coin will loosen tongues have never seen someone silenced by the dark itself.

Present Day...

Old Arrangments

An old Hellsguard has built himself a little cottage with a cute garden in rural Thanalan... and bearing a resemblance to a suspiciously wealthy individual tied to long-dismantled underground arenas.

Ancient History...

Coin & Carriages > 1567

Some fancy Ishgardian noblewoman arrived in her carriage, a Xaelan individual and "the sketchiest fuck known to man" in tow. Supposedly, the body she recovered was a close relative... others believe a more sinister transaction was conducted.

...within ilicit spaces...

Fallen Champions > 1567

Tucked in a back alley within Ul'dah once resided a fighting ring like none other, where combatants were encouraged to maim or kill each other. An 'exotic' individual, who only seemed to know a handful of Common words, cost a lot of people a lot of gil his debut match. He died the same way he lived: putting on a damn good show. Shame it was to something like acid.

Ishgard

Our Shade is lot of things to a lot of people, lots of rumors and tales to be told... assuming you know who to ask.

Present Day...

A Lonesome Bench

Within the wilds of the Coerthan Western Highlands, there sits a lone bench next to a patch of wilderness Passers-by might hear strange chittering coming from the overgrowth at random hours of the night.

Reaper

Between the strange shadows curling in the dark, the streaks of voidlike aether criss-crossing the streets of Ishgard, and the seemingly random disappearance of sweet treats, some have speculated a Reaper has moved into Ishgard.

Bounty

Once, posters for a 500k gil bounty were peppered throughout the city, promising payment in exchange for the death of one Altan Irynsi. Who knows what the guy did, but the posters are no longer replaced when torn down...

A Favor

A shadow once lingered under the stairs in the Brume. Supposedly, he would make your problems go away in exchange for favors... but the shade has since vanished, and all those who owe him a debt are left wondering if or when the bill will come due.

Ancient History...

Manufactory Oddities > 1568

An outsider has been seen with a Skysteel firearm in his possession. When the manufactory is asked about how he came to acquire such a weapon, workers go silent, and management declines to answer. Perhaps someone was paid off?

Tial By Combat > 1568-1581

A Xaelan man has continuously invoked his right to Trial by Combat every time he is charged with a heinous crime. The most infamous of these, was the time he used a Skysteel firearm, firing a single, blind shot that instantly killed the last Temple Knight he faced. He still has yet to be convicted of a crime.

Phantom in Ice > 1568-1581

An assassin once terrorized the highborn of Ishgard, and all anyone could describe was the glitter of ice crystals on his weapons. Some believe he is responsible for several people in the Brume going missing as well... though others speculate those deaths were faked.Over a year ago, his activities seem to have stopped completely, many speculating the Phantom to have been slain. By whom, remains a separate matter.

Highborn Slain > 1581

A noblewoman, known for her duplicitous nature and rumored to have her own private assassin, was found slain in her manor. So far, there remain no suspects, and the only evidence that remains is the blood on her blade that did not match her wounds...
